PAP Productions was established as a Company in January 2014 by three creatives, Paul Lawton, Amy Walker and Paul Wilson. The three of us had been working together for a few years and decided that it was time to go it alone. Our vision is to produce one high quality piece of musical theatre a year using the best local talent that we can find. We have no membership and are therefore not constrained by the need to cater for our members in our choice of production to stage. Whilst we are predominantly a young Company (as you’ll see tonight) we encourage people of all ages to come along to auditions for future productions – we cast our productions based solely on the ability of those who come to the auditions on the night.
We are truly an amateur Company – no one in the cast (or production team) is paid for their involvement and any profits generated by this production will be reinvested into the Company to raise production values for next year and so on. We don’t do this to make money – we do it for the love of theatre and the enjoyment that we get from working with a great bunch of people.
Putting on productions is expensive! We are therefore always looking for sponsorship from any businesses (or individuals) that want to help out. If you are interested in discussing this further, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Paul graduated with a BA (Hons) in Popular Music from the University of Salford. He has directed the music for numerous amateur productions and companies throughout the North West.

In his “spare time”, Paul can be found teaching music at a local secondary school!!
Amy has been dancing since she was six years old, training at Margaret Lapham school of dance, she went on to study Dance at Phil Winston Theatre Works.
Amy studied at Cardwell Theatre School, gaining her distinction in th IDTA Ballet teaching qualification.
Amy has danced professionally with 6 freestyle and she has worked as a showgirl.
Paul was dragged (not kicking and screaming in fairness) into Musical Theatre over 40 years ago, having parents who both were heavily involved in the amateur theatre scene.
Paul has appeared on stage in a variety of productions, notably Beast in Beauty in the Beast, Harold in Full Monty, Prospero in Return to the Forbidden Planet and Elwood in a successful Blues Brothers touring act.
Paul has directed a variety of musical theatre productions including Chess, Avenue Q, Bad Girls, Return to the Forbidden Planet – and all four of PAP’s previous productions. Paul was both honoured and shocked to receive the MMA award for Best Director for Rent, PAP’s first production.
